LOCATION
Located on the western Andean slopes, in the District of Oyón, Province of Oyón, department of Lima, at an altitude of between 4,500 and 5,000 m.a.s.l.

TYPE OF OPERATION AND MINES
Underground in the Socorro, Carmen and Huantajalla mines.
EXPLOITATION METHOD
Overhand cut and fill due to the irregular distribution of mineralization.
Horizontal drilling with jumbos, upper and jackleg drills.
Controlled blasting.
Excavations are supported using split sets, timbering, shotcrete, falsework, friction jacks, wood packs, anchor bolts and electrowelded mesh.
Scooptrams, 20-ton capacity low profile trucks or battery / trolley locomotives using U 35 Granby mine cars are used to transport mineral.
Hoisting is done through two shafts: Master shaft and Luz shaft
Mine water is drained by gravity through the 4,560 meter long Patón tunnel.
Stope filling: 80% detrital and 20 % hydraulic.
TREATMENT METHOD
The 2,250 DST per day Concentration Plant produces 2 types of concentrates: Ag-Pb concentrate and Zn concentrate.
Crusher (Jaw Crusher).
Three-stage milling process (SAG and two stages of conventional milling).
Differential flotation (Ag-Pb and Zn circuits) and
Filtering (Netzsch filters).
FACILITIES
HEALTH: 1 hospital with an installed capacity of 20 beds for hospitalized patients. EDUCATION: 2 schools: primary and secondary education. ELECTRIC ENERGY: Patón Hydroelectric Power Plant and the Paragsha-Uchucchacua transmission line.
