LOCATION
Located in the district of Tinyahuarco, Province of Cerro de Pasco, Department of Pasco at 289 km from Lima , at an altitude of 4,250 m.a.s.l. .
ACCESSIBLITY Overland - Carretera Central, 4.5 hours along the Carretera Central Lima- Cerro de Pasco road.
By air – to the town of Vicco, in the District of Tinyahuarco.

EXPLOITATION METHOD
Open pit, 1.2 million MT of ore per year.
TREATMENT METHOD
The 3,500 DST per day Concentration Plant produces 2 types of concentrates: Zn concentrate and Pb-Ag concentrate.
Crushing (Primary using jaw crushers, secondary using standard crushers)
Two-stage conventional milling (primary and secondary)
One stage concentrate re-milling
Differential flotation (Ag-Pb and Zn circuits) and
Filtering (2 Netzsch filters).
FACILITIES
Sociedad Minera el Brocal has transferred its Educational and Health infrastructure to the Public sector; it continues however, to carry out and finance activities to support them.
ELECTRIC ENERGY:
This is supplied by the Jupayragra Hydroelectric Power Plant and the Río Blanco Hydroelectric Power Plant, which in the aggregate have a generation capacity of 1.5MWH, in 50 cycles.
